5 Step Summer Body Programme During Lockdown

It’s important to keep in shape, even if you can’t go to the gym, or do the sports that you usually enjoy. It’s that time of the year when we start thinking about getting our “summer bodies” ready. It’s hard to say if you’ll spend much time outdoors this summer but it’s better to be prepared in case. Here are five home workouts to help you get fit.

Cardio

It may be that we don’t have access to a gym or weights. We can still do cardio, as we can find ways to exercise without equipment. If your area permits, you may be able go for a jog on a bike. If this is not possible, you can still do cardio exercises with your body at home. This includes jumping, kicking, and moving.

Diet

If you have even the simplest understanding of fitness and health, you will know that the best way to lose weight is to combine diet and exercise. However, it is nearly impossible to lose fat by exercising and maintaining a diet high in calories. It is important to maintain an active workout routine while reducing calories. You should also be mindful of the quality of your calories. Eat complex carbohydrates and less processed food, as well as organic grains and vegetables.

Core Exercises

Many sports and activities use your core muscles. You may not realize it, but your core muscles will suffer if you cannot participate in sports. You can do a variety of core courses and exercises at home. Many 30-day core challenges can be completed at home using your smartphone and systems like Pilates. You can choose from a range of examples that match your level, from beginner to advanced.

Weights – if possible

This section is added with a qualification. If you already have a weight bench or machine at home, resistance training can be a safe and easy way to get fit and make gains. You can still order weightlifting equipment online. However, due to high demand, delivery times may be longer or the prices may be higher.

Body Weight Workouts

Exercises can be done using only your body weight. Push-ups and Squats are great exercises. This is something you can do even if your health is poor or if pregnant. (Ask your doctor if there are any concerns).
